Games / Enlisted

Enlisted with the weeks behind it
Enlisted rests on a single strong idea: you command a squad, not a man. You play as one of them and the rest follow, so losing a firefight costs you soldiers rather than ending your round on the spot.
Battles sit inside historical campaigns, with infantry, armour and aircraft sharing one map. It looks considerably better than anything running in a browser has a right to.
The depth is in squad composition - engineers who put down cover, snipers holding a lane, assault teams for close work. Getting that mixture right is most of the game.
Where it earns its place
- Squad command
- Historical campaigns
- Team battles
Go for it when
Anybody wanting a shooter with tactical thinking attached and matches that finish inside the hour.
Not worth it if reflex games feel like work - this is the twitchiest entry here.
Settling in here
Put an engineer in every squad from the start. Cover you placed yourself decides more fights here than marksmanship does.
Stay inside one campaign until the squads are upgraded. Spreading over three leaves you underequipped in all of them.
